Mount Kailash is the most sacred mountain in Asia. In Buddhist and Hindu cosmology, Mount Kailash is the earthly manifestation of Mount Semeru, which is the spiritual center of the universe. Mount Kailash holds significant power, like the very tip of the mountain is the central point of the cosmos' rotation. Hindus pay reverence to Mount Kailash as a throne of Lord Shiva, the great Tirtha, and the ultimate pilgrimage site on earth. It is considered most auspicious to make a religious pilgrimage around its fifty-three kilometers circuit which is also known as Kailash Parikrama. This is a sacred journey of divine calling to reinvigorate and cleanse the soul through this life-altering experience.
